Competition Rules

“42 House Golden Ticket”

Article 1: Subject

From 30/01/2025 at 10 a.m. to 06/02/2025 at 6 p.m. local time (Paris time zone), DECATHLON SE, a European company, registered with the Lille Trade and Companies Register under no. 306.138.900, having its registered office at 4 bd de Mons, 59650 Villeneuve d'ASCQ (hereinafter referred to as DECATHLON) is organising a free lottery (hereinafter referred to as the ‘Game’) with no obligation to purchase, the conditions of which are defined in these rules.

Participation in the game implies unreserved acceptance of these rules (hereinafter the ‘Rules’) in their entirety, as well as the laws and regulations applicable to games.

Article 2: Terms and Conditions

2.1 Restrictions on Participation

This Game is open to anyone aged 18 or over on the date of participation, without restriction as to residence or country, with the exception of Belgium and Mexico where the game is invalid. Only people acting as consumers within the meaning of the French Consumer Code are authorised to take part.

Employees meeting the following criteria (hereinafter referred to as ‘Participants’) are also eligible to take part in the Contest and be eligible to win:

Only one entry per person is permitted. Any multiple, automated or incomplete entry, or any entry that does not comply with the terms and conditions of these rules, will be automatically rejected.

Article 3: Determining the Winners

1 winner will be chosen by random draw. The draw will be carried out randomly from among all valid entries that comply with the conditions defined in article 2.

The draw will take place on 07/02/2025 at 10am local time (Paris time zone). The results will be announced publicly via an Instagram story/post on 07/02/2025 at 6pm local time (Paris time zone).

4.2 Conditions of the Prize

The prize is nominative, non-exchangeable and cannot be reimbursed, modified or transferred.

It is the sole responsibility of the winner and his/her partner to ensure that they have the necessary documents to make the trip, including but not limited to:

The Organiser cannot be held responsible if the winner or his/her partner is unable to travel due to missing or non-compliant documents.

Article 5: Informing the Winners

The winner will be notified by private message on Instagram within 24 hours of the draw. The winner must confirm their eligibility, their acceptance of the prize and provide the necessary documents (copy of their passport, etc.) within 48 hours of notification. In the event of no reply, the prize will be awarded to another participant, previously drawn at random. DECATHLON will draw lots for 2 additional participants to replace the defaulting winner.

Article 6: Delivery of Prizes

In order to ensure that the collection of the Prizes runs smoothly, the winner must send DECATHLON several items of information such as, but not limited to: his/her postal address, telephone number, a copy of his/her valid passport (required for the visa to be issued) and any other information or document required for the visa application. DECATHLON reserves the right not to award or to reallocate the Prize(s) in the event of cheating, or if the Winner(s) have not contacted DECATHLON within 30 days of the sending of the e-mail announcing the winners of the results of the prize draw.

Article 7: Liability

7.1. DECATHLON may not be held liable if, due to a case of force majeure or beyond its control, the competition has to be modified, shortened or cancelled. In all cases, DECATHLON reserves the right to extend the participation period and/or postpone any announced date.

7.2. Any amendment to these Rules will result in the publication of the new version, which will come into force as soon as it is put online, and all Participants will be deemed to have accepted it simply by taking part in the competition, as from the date on which the amendment comes into force. Any Participant who does not accept the modification(s) must cease to take part in the Contest.

7.3. DECATHLON may cancel all or part of the Prize Contest if it appears that fraud has occurred in any form whatsoever, in particular computer fraud in the context of participation in the Prize Contest or the determination of the winner.

7.4. The participation in the Contest implies knowledge and acceptance of the characteristics and limits of the Internet.

Article 10: Mediation of Consumer Disputes

In accordance with the provisions of the Consumer Code concerning ‘the mediation process for consumer disputes,’ the consumer has the right to have recourse free of charge to the mediation service offered by DECATHLON.

The consumer who has taken part in the competition may therefore send a complaint to CM2C:

The solution proposed by the mediator is not binding on the parties, who remain free to withdraw from the Mediation process at any time.

Article 11: Personal Data

In the context of the Prize Contest organised by the Decathlon loyalty programme, the Participant may be asked to provide certain personal data which DECATHLON will need to process in order to notify the Participant in the event of winning.
